The community woodlands project is about working together with our communities to increase, improve and link up Bolsover District’s trees, woodlands and hedges to benefit wildlife and help people get more from their green spaces.
Together with the Woodland Trust Emergency Tree Fund, we help fund this and aim to give everyone the opportunity to improve their physical and mental health through access to high quality local treescapes and related community activities.
Our projects include a brand new flagship Community Woodland covering over 20 hectares in Creswell, community orchards and urban and semi-urban tree plantings.
If you would like to get involved in any of these projects, please register to volunteer with us.
We will be publishing regular newsletters on the scheme to help keep you informed on what we are doing, what is happening and when.If you would like to receive a regular copy then please complete our newsletter subscription form. The first copy of the newsletter is now available to view:
Do you wish to volunteer for one of our tree planting, aftercare or site preparation sessions?
Would you like us to let you know about future projects, updates, events and/or volunteering opportunities?
There will be opportunities to volunteer to help in the creation of local projects by assisting with the planning and organising, helping prepare the site or planting some trees alongside the Bolsover Woodlands Enterprise team.
