Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme is a timetable for the production of the Council’s planning documents and it is intended that it will assist the community’s understanding and involvement in the plan-making process and enable the development industry, infrastructure providers and other key stakeholders to coordinate their investment programmes.

Local Development Scheme No.7 – 25 February 2022 to 31 March 2025

Local Development Scheme No7 principally covers the review of the Local Plan's evidence base and up-to-date nature of the Local Plan for Bolsover District itself. This review is not due to be completed until 5 years following adoption, so by March 2025.

In addition, the Local Development Scheme sets out the timetables for work on a number of other Council planning policy documents, namely:

  • Statement of Community Involvement
  • Growth Plans for Shirebrook and Creswell (but no other areas at this time)
  • Supplementary Planning Documents

Finally, the Local Development Scheme sets out the timetable for the preparation of Neighbourhood Plans where these are known.

The Local Development Scheme No.7 was approved by Council on 23 February 2022 and came into effect when it was published on Friday 25 February 2022.
