Age old tradition ringing out in Barlborough

From the annual lantern parade to fireworks displays and Remembrance Sunday to Well Dressings, but none are as old as one tradition that is practiced most weeks in our local towns and villages.

The bitter-sweet sound of just one bell or the majesty of a whole peal, has become part of the English heritage and much of the country’s past can be traced through the history of its bells.

Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) sent reporter Charlotte Ellis to St James The Greater Church in Barlborough find out more.
