Households wasting £1,000 of food per year

We all know that Christmas is a time when we eat lots of food, and maybe have the drink or two.

But after receiving data of how much food is thrown away, we are encouraging residents to reduce the amount of food waste they produce.

Food waste accounts for around 25% of black bin waste, amounting to around £1,000 of food per household per year.

There are ways to reduce the impact of food waste and save yourself money and Bolsover TV (opens in a new window) reporter Charlotte Ellis, tells us more.
