Clubs and groups across the District still have the chance to be part of a new community directory, but you haven’t got long!
Over the past few months we have been mentioning the directory in our InTouch magazine and on Bolsover TV, which is being created as a way of promoting clubs and group activities which will be looking forward to getting back up and running once the latest lockdown restrictions ease.
Council Leader, Steve Fritchley said, “The past year has seen many activities cease and groups unable to meet which has resulted in people feeling lonely and isolated. We want to support clubs and groups to get back on their feet by helping to promote their activities and getting more people through their doors.”
Some of the clubs and groups which have already signed up include history groups, bingo clubs, sports clubs, scouts, brownies, guides, the Women’s Institute and gardening associations. Clubs and groups have until 31 May to be included in the directory.
Once compiled the list will be available on our website as a searchable database and an interactive map, as well as a booklet for people to pick up so they can see what groups are available.
