A business owner in Clowne has paid a £300 Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) for failing to ensure they had appropriate arrangements in place for their commercial waste.
Evidence was retrieved from fly-tipped waste in Bolsover by our Enforcement Team which was linked to the business.
The business owner was issued with a legal notice to produce legally required waste documentation to prove where their waste was disposed of and failed to comply, resulting in the FPN.
Businesses are legally required to retain documentation that shows their waste is collected by licensed waste collectors and disposed of correctly for up to two years.
