Armed Forces Breakfast Club starts in South Normanton

A new Breakfast Club has started in South Normanton for Armed Forces and Veterans.

Local councillor, Andrew Joesbury has started the club for veterans and serving members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.

The ethos of the group is to provide mutual support. It works because everyone has a similar humour and outlook and the social life we now enjoy is like the service days.

All services veterans (If you can cope with the banter), just turn up on a Friday morning and you will be made most welcome. There will be free tea and coffee and a 20% price reduction for food.

The club meets every Friday from 9:30am and then it is hoped to extend this to the first Saturday of the month as well. The club will meet at The Postmill Centre, Market Street, South Normanton, Derbyshire, DE55 2EJ. To join, all you need to do is provide proof of service, a photo in uniform or some form of documentation and agree to the membership rules.

If you have served or know anyone who has please tell them about the club. The Mansfield club has a regular attendance of about 40 and they love it, so let's make the club in South Normanton equally popular.
