Barlborough opens its gardens as part of national scheme

Barlborough has been part of the National Garden Scheme Open Gardens event for a while now but they had to take a year off in 2020 due to the pandemic.

But now, they are making a comeback and residents of the village are preparing to welcome people to their gardens again as five properties in the village will be opening their garden gates over the weekend of the 3 and 4 July.

The event is part of a national scheme giving green fingered residents the chance to showcase the hard work they put into their gardens, whilst raising money for the caring charities.

You can listen to Vernon Sanderson of the Hollies telling us how preparations are going for the event in an interview with Bolsover TV.
