Anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour includes a range of problems such as noisy neighbours, abandoned cars, vandalism, graffiti, litter and youth nuisance. Our Ant-Social Behaviour policy aims to deal with issues like these and improve the overall well-being and quality of life for the communities of Bolsover District. It covers the following:
  • behaviour that can cause nuisance and annoyance
  • behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress
  • behaviour which creates significant and persistent problems in neighbourhoods
  • behaviour which leaves communities feeling intimidated and afraid.

If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour of any kind then please report this to us via our Self Service (opens in a new window) portal so we can investigate and deal with it as soon as possible.

Parenting

We would like to achieve a future in which any parent within the District who needs support will know where to turn and be able to benefit from a range of appropriate and accessible services. Improving parents' skills, taking preventative measures and using enforcement action to reduce anti-social behaviour will contribute to strengthening communities.

We recognise that the majority of parents in the District do a good job, often in challenging circumstances. Below are some useful links ranging from general information through to specialist services including access to evidence based parenting programmes and courses.
