Petitions

It's never been easier to contact us and make your voice heard or have your say on a local issue.

We have set up our very own petitions scheme (82kb) and guidance (48kb). Under these rules the number of signatures required to trigger a petition is just under 1% of the population of Bolsover District (74,300 based upon 2008 mid-term estimates) - that means you only need 700 signatures. Further details are available on the Notice of Verification Number (24.5kb).

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Bolsover District - including under 18's - can organise or sign a petition and submit it to us. Under the new rules, issues which attract a petition of 700 signatures or more could be debated by the Council.

Depending on the size of your petition, we may also:

  • Take the action requested in the petition
  • Hold an inquiry or public meeting about the issue
  • Carry out research or public consultation about the issue

We welcome petitions and recognise that petitions are one way in which people can let us know their concerns. All petitions sent or presented to us will receive an acknowledgement within 10 working days of receipt. This acknowledgement will set out what we plan to do with the petition. We will treat something as a petition if it is identified as being a petition, or if it seems to us that it is intended to be a petition.

E-Petitions

We have also launched an e-petition facility that will allow you to create or sign up to petitions on-line. The e-petition must follow the same guidelines outlined above and will be dealt with in the same way.

In particular, Texas Payday Loans can cater to the needs of its residents. If you have already decided to take Levitra, be sure to consult a doctor, you don't have any contraindications and act strictly due to a prescription.
