  • Audit Inspections Open or Close

    The Internal Audit Consortium carries out the Internal Audit function for Chesterfield Borough Council, North East Derbyshire District Council, Bolsover District Council and Rykneld Homes Ltd

    All councils have to publish a Statement of Accounts covering specified matters. It shows how we have used public money, and that we have been honest and responsible. We try to make the accounts meet the needs of a wide range of stakeholders, but to see how well we deliver individual services you may also want to look at our Annual Reports

    This plan provides us with a clear direction and contains four ambitious and challenging aims that will help create a more vibrant and sustainable North East Derbyshire District. 

    ‘Unlocking our Growth Potential’ is our main aim and focus for the next four years – and beyond – it means we are able to raise the money we need to deliver our plans.

  • Investors in People (IIP) Open or Close

    IIP is a national standard that seeks to encourage organisations to develop their people and ensure that everyone performs well. The IIP standard provides a framework to ensure that organisations achieve this. The Standard is split into three criterion as below:

           Plan – develop strategies to improve the performance
           Do – take action to improve the performance
           Review – evaluate and improve performance

    The Standard focuses on issues such as:

    • The effectiveness of appraisals

    • How learning and development is identified

    • What induction processes we have for new starters or those changing jobs

    • The opportunities available to employees to suggest improvements

    • What support managers provide to individuals and teams

    • How the Council and managers communicate with employees

    • How learning and development is evaluated to ensure value for money
