Wellness On Wheels (WOW)

Wellness On Wheels (WOW) is an innovative approach to get people living in a rural area more physically active.  The WOW trailer is a fully equipped mobile gym that forms part of the Bolsover Wellness Programme.

WOW is kitted out with Technogym's Easyline equipment. This kit is versatile and can be used for a normal gym work out or be incorporated into a fitness circuit. We are hopeful that clubs will utilise the facility as well as individuals.

Specialist Exercise and Fitness Referral Officers will ensure that patients who are referred to the scheme by their GP receive the same programme as that being delivered in our leisure centres.

Partners involved in the WOW project include Bolsover District Council, Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust, Bolsover Schools Sports Partnership and Technogym.
