Sports Stars
We have a number of dedicated and talented sports performers who reside within Bolsover District and who compete for England and Great Britain in a range of sports. In addition, Julie Broadhead and Laurisa Robson have coached Football and Boccia at National and International levels.
Each individual's profile page will be regularly updated with their latest news and progress along with their preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Football: Sophie plays for the Derby County Centre of Excellence for Girls and has represented England at U15 & U17 Levels. |

Jack Griffiths |
Karate & Kickboxing: Jack trains at the British Martial Arts Academy in Sheffield and has won a number of National, European and World Titles over the last 4 years. Jack was Runner Up in the Derbyshire Junior Sportsman category at the 2011 Derbyshire Sports Awards. |

Coaching: Laurisa has always enjoyed participating in sport, which has led her to become involved in coaching and leading others at Local, National and International levels. Laurisa is the 2011 Derbyshire Young Sports Leader/Young Coach of the Year. |
 Julie Broadhead |
Boccia: Julie is the Lead Coach of the GB Boccia BC3 team who will be competing at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. |
 Ashley Clipston |
Bowls: Ashley has represented the England U25 Team and in 2011 was crowned the English Bowling Association's Indoor National Champion of Champions. |
 Jon Hall |
Wheelchair Basketball: Jon is part of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball squad and was part of the team that won European Gold in Israel in September 2011. |
 Mason Bennett |
Football: Mason plays for Derby County Football Club and has also represented the U16 and U17 England teams. In addition, Mason was awarded with the Junior Sportsman Award at the Derbyshire Sports Awards in November 2011. |
