Seats

Roadside seats provide an essential resting places and amenities for the general public.

They are routinely inspected for damage, vandalism or repair twice per year, usually in January and July.

We aim to make sure all our seats and benches are safe, clean and in a proper state of repair. If you find a seat or bench damaged or vandalised, then please telephone our Contact Centres on 01246 242424 or submit an enquiry form and we will make sure the necessary repairs are carried out.

Any requests for new seats should be sent in writing to Engineers Department, Bolsover District Council, Sherwood Lodge, Bolsover, Derbyshire, S44 6NF. These requests will be assessed on demand, practicality and financial constraint and we will also need to obtain approval from Derbyshire County Council regarding the siting of any new seat.
