Return 2 Sport
To provide adults (16+) with the opportunity to get back into the sport that they may not have participated in for a number of years or to try a new sport in a safe, friendly and social environment.
The programme targets individuals who want a more social approach to exercise but may not feel ready or able to join a local sports club or would like an opportunity to try a new sport.
2013 see's a brand new Back to Sport BD Programme launch in the district, incorporating 7 different sports. Details of sessions can be seen below. Sessions are taking place in Bolsover, Clowne and Shirebrook.
Sessions week commencing 2nd December 2013
Wednesday 4th December - Ladies Social Kickabout Football for females aged 14+ years taking place from 7.30-8.30pm at Clowne Sports Centre on the outdoor ATP. Get back into Football or try the sport for the first time, all abilities welcome, what have you got to lose? Your first session is FREE, then £3 per session. Thursday 5th November - Back to Basketball for males and females aged 16+ years taking place from 8-9pm at Shirebrook Leisure Centre. Get back into Basketball or play the sport for the first time. Session comprises of skills and games. Great opportunity to get fit, have fun and meet new people. Your first session is FREE, then £3 per session. Just turn up. North Derbyshire Chargers Rugby League Club
North Derbyshire Chargers are a community rugby league club based in Barlborough offering the following alternatives to the full contact game:
- Touch Rugby - Every Wednesday at 6.30pm at Barlborough Country Park. Qualified coaches, open to both males and females (14+). No experience necessary, great way to work out and have fun at the same time. Contact Kane for more information on 07958 174068.

allplay Tennis Programme
allplay is a practical campaign to help more people play tennis by:
- Making it simple for people to find someone to play with of a similar level, find a court to play on in their area or find a coach
- Bringing Tennis to different groups of people who might not usually play the game.
If you need help in finding your local courts or somebody to play Tennis with visit allplay tennis. You can search for people in your area who are looking for a game and even contact them to get started. It's all part of allplay, a national campaign brought to your by the LTA, to help more people play Tennis.
Ball Again - Rediscover the Game
A casual programme of basketball activities and games, designed and endorsed by England Basketball, perfect if you're looking to get back into basketball or perhaps interested in trying the game for the first time.
