Town Centre Regeneration

Bolsover district is predominantly rural and our town and village centres help support a number of businesses, leisure and social activities.

It is important that these centres are vibrant and offer all the key services our residents require, as well as those more desirable activities including places to visit, eat out, shop, and socialise.

We support the development of local partnerships, bringing together representatives from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to work in a coordinated way towards shared objectives.

We play an important part in regeneration, both as a provider of services and investment in communities, and as an enabler, bringing together local, regional and national agencies.

There are a number of ways in which we help to regenerate areas including the preparation and consultation on Town Centre Development Plans, which seek to improve the environment for the public and business, to encourage a strong economy.
