Pinxton Traffic Challenges
Thank you to those who responded to the survey about Pinxton's Traffic Challenges (27kb) published in the last newsletter. Out of 2,700 newsletters, 65 replies were received (less than 2.5% response rate).
With such a low response rate, the survey's impact is of limited significance, however, the responses could be seen as indicating the relative importance of our traffic challenges and act as a guide for any future engagement exercise.
Not every proposal was answered but perhaps the most frequently answered proposal together with the percentage in favour gives a flavour on how residents view its importance. With this in mind, and again stating this is not strong quantitative evidence, the top 3 are seemingly:
New M1 junction, New Road westwards towards A38, Greyhound Traffic Light system to include West End.
By a similar token, what is NOT seemingly favoured by residents is a one-way system for traffic.
Our latest newsletter has been published and is now available for you to download and read.
Pinxton Chari-tea Shop
Can you help? SNaP Development Project has terminated its lease on the Chari-Tea Shop. The proceeds of the shop supplemented the general budget of SNaP.
We are anxious to support the ongoing operations of the shop with proceeds providing financial support going directly to Pinxton voluntary and community groups.
In order to maximise income to local groups it is important the shop has regular opening times. Consequently we are seeking more volunteers. The necessary instruction will be provided as appropriate.
If you have a couple of hours to spare weekly we would very much like to hear from you. Please contact us on 01773 580046.
