Members of the European Parliament

You elect Members of the European Parliament or MEP's to represent your interests and concerns in the European Union.

They do this by listening to people with local and national concerns, to interest groups and businesses. Where necessary, they question and lobby the Commission and the Council of Ministers.

There are five MEP's that represent the East Midlands.
