Member's allowances
The Local Authorities' (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations require Local Authorities to make public schemes for members' allowances and disclose annually amounts paid to members under such schemes. Some councillors also receive special responsibility allowances for undertaking specific roles such as a Cabinet Member or Chairman of a Committee.
The following are the annual basic allowances payable to members in accordance with THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES (MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2003.
