Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli will bring flavours of Italy to Bolsover next weekend.
Bolsover Food and Drink Festival on 26 and 27 July will feature live cooking demos by the celebrity chef as the main headliner in a tasty line up of entertainment.
Real ale fans will get to meet beer guru Roger Protz. The editor of the Good Beer Guide will host real ale master classes throughout Saturday and Sunday, giving visitors tasting notes on some of the region’s finest brews.
The town will be filled with market stalls and marquees brimming with delicious food and drink from award winning producers from across the region.
Children’s cookery workshops from KidzKitchen and the History Van will keep budding young chefs entertained.
The festival coincides with Bolsover Castle’s “Muskets and Masques: Charles I at Bolsover” event on the same days, which celebrates a masque written for the royal visit of King Charles I in 1634.
“I’m excited about the festival and looking forward to visiting Bolsover, meeting the people, and trying out the local produce,” said Aldo, who specialises in Italian, seafood and vegetarian cuisine. “I hope visitors will enjoy the tips and recipes as much as I’ll enjoy preparing them,” he said.
Entry to Bolsover Food and Drink Festival is free.
