Frederick Gent Community Sports Centre

An innovative partnership between the governing body of Frederick Gent School and Bolsover District Council has ensured that the school’s sport and leisure facilities are made available to the communities of South Normanton and Pinxton out of school hours.

Over 50 hours of community use is available each week and residents and local clubs and groups are encouraged to make full use of the ‘state of art’ facilities built with over £1.5 million from the lottery.

The centre boasts a 4 badminton court sized sports hall where a wide range of sports and recreational activity can take place, a dance/aerobics studio, meeting room and interactive training facility, tennis courts and a floodlit all weather multi use games area (MUGA)

Opening hours are as follows and all facilities must be pre-booked

Monday 4pm-10pm
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6pm-10pm
Friday 5pm-10pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am-10pm
