Food hazard warnings are issued as foods sometimes have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.

Due to a labelling error the product has been labelled with a 'use by' date of 17 August instead of 17 April. Eating a product past the intended 'use by' date could pose a risk to health.

All ‘use by’ dates of the following Sangha Foods or Core Foods labelled products are affected:

Chicken Biryani
Lamb Biryani
Lamb Keema with Rice

The premises are not approved for the manufacture of meat products. The products in question are manufactured under either the Sangha Foods or Core Foods labels, which are both owned by Castle Foods Company (London) Ltd.

No other Loch Arthur Creamery products are known to be affected.

Listeria monocytogenes has been detected in the above product following sampling by Dumfries & Galloway Council. Loch Arthur Creamery is recalling all date codes up to and including 11 February 2013.
