Equality panel
The Equality Panel consists of local people who are also members of our Citizen's Panel. The Panel meets each quarter and is attended by the Executive Members for Arts & Leisure and Customer Service.
The Equality Panel has an important role in scrutinising some of our Equality Impact Assessments, which are a tool for driving service improvements. They provide feedback on their experience of our services and 'road test' some of the our communications, such as our Customer Service Standards.
We staged a Look Beyond the Label event in October 2010 and we received
feedback from various agencies, partners and members of the group on how we could make our services more accessible.
