Empty properties

We are committed to bringing long term empty homes back into use. The Strategy aims to raise the awareness of the issue of empty homes and to provide good quality additional affordable houses by making full use of existing housing.  It also aims to minimise the adverse impact that an empty house can have and to prevent nuisance to neighbours and the local community.

Weeds

Responsibility for control of weeds rests with the occupier of the land on which the weeds are growing. When seeking to prevent the spread of weeds, all landowners, occupiers and managers should co-operate and, where necessary, take a collective responsibility for ensuring that effective control of the spread of weeds.
