Disabled Parking Permits - Blue Badge Scheme
The Blue Badge Scheme is an important service for people with severe mobility problems that enables badge holders to park close to where they need to go. The scheme operates throughout the UK, and is administered by local authorities who deal with applications and issue badges.
The scheme, which is intended to allow badge holders to park close to their destination, also applies to registered blind people and people who drive regularly, have a severe disability in both arms and are unable to operate, or have considerable difficulty in operating all or some types of parking meter.
- If you would like to find out if you are eligible for a Blue Badge please visit Derbyshire County Council website
