Brian is one of seven Cabinet Members. His Cabinet responsibility is Community Safety. He was first elected as a district councillor in 1989 and his background in health and safety of the Coal Industry has given him a sound understanding and knowledge in industrial relations, health and safety and economic issues. Throughout his time as a councillor Brian has played an active role in modernising the Council and its services and helping to reduce crime and disorder in the area.
