Forward plan
The Forward Plan contains all the key decisions, which the Executive expects to make over the next four months. The plan is rolled forward every month. The current
Forward Plan (published 3rd May 2012) contains all the key decisions for the next 4-months. The definition of a key decision is given in our Constitution and is also given below.
A decision notice for each
key decision is published within 5 days of it having been made. This is open for public inspection at the Council’s Offices, Sherwood Lodge, Bolsover, Derbyshire S44 6NF.
The law and our Constitution provides for urgent key decisions to be made. A decision notice will be published for these in exactly the same way.
Definition of a key decision
A key decision, as defined in Article 13 of our Constitution is a decision by the Executive, which is likely to:
- Result in the Council incurring expenditure which is, or the making of savings which are, significant having regard to the Council’s budget for the service or function to which the decision relates;
Or - Be significant in terms of its effects on communities living or working in two or more electoral wards in the Councils area.
The Authority has decided that the level of expenditure/savings, which is significant for the purpose of defining a Key Decision, is £50,000. We will also treat as a key decision a decision, which has a significant impact on communities in one ward. A decision taker may only make a key decision in accordance with the Executive Procedure Rules.
