Bolsover Town Regeneration Scheme
We can confirm that Morrisons have been selected as the preferred developer for the multi-million pound redevelopment of the Sherwood Lodge site in Bolsover.
After months of negotiations, Morrisons was chosen from a number of quality proposals that were put forward and we have now entered into a period of exclusivity with the Company. This period will allow both ourselves and Morrisons the time to firm up the plans and proposals and consult with the public on the proposed scheme. The first public exhibition, which included basic information about the proposals, took place on Wednesday 2nd November 2011 with approximately 300 hundrred people in attendance.
This multi-million development will create a significant number of jobs and training opportunities ranging from management roles to warehouse operatives and help to regenerate the town of Bolsover.
The scheme design is currently being developed and is subject to planning consent. However the initial plan is for a medium sized foodstore, petrol filling station and associated car parking.
Public Exhibition
The latest public exhibition took place on Friday 27th April and Saturday 28th April 2012 at the Assembly Rooms, Bolsover and included more detailed plans and proposals about the proposed redevelopment and our relocation plans. Below are some artists impressions of what the proposed new Morrisons redevelopment could look like, together with our relocation plans.
Please note that now the public exhibition has concluded, anyone wishing to comment upon these proposals can do so when the formal planning applications have been submitted (likely to be end of May 2012). Please click on the appropriate image to see a larger file.
