The Big Splash

Swimmers across Bolsover District will now be able to make a Big Splash after Creswell Leisure Centre became part of the nation’s biggest ever swimming campaign.

We have joined forces with British Swimming and the BBC to deliver the Big Splash and inspire local residents to swim.

Creswell Leisure Centre is offering a number of exciting Big Splash activities including:

• Junior Aqua Fit
• Crash Course swimming lessons
• Family fun
• £1 to swim at weekends
• Special memberships to adults who enrol on the adult swimming lessons programme

Swimathon Weekend

We are also joining in the Swimathon Weekend on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April 2012. 

The centre is one of 645 pools across the UK taking part in the Swimathon Weekend, where participants can take on the swim of their life, and join thousands of other swimmers to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Swimmers can chose to do 5k, 2.5k or a team event of 5k of the Marie Curie cancer Care or swim1 mile for the Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief.

In a momentous year of sport, make 2012 the year you take on a challenge, by entering the world’s biggest fundraising swim at Swimathon.

If you have never learnt to swim now is the time. Learn at your own pace under no pressure supported by the excellent ASA teachers at Creswell Leisure Centre. Adult Lessons are Mondays 11am -12 and Wednesdays 9pm-10.
