Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance
Introduction
The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance document was adopted in 2002 as a material consideration to provide further clarity and interpretation for policies HOU 6 & HOU 7 of the Bolsover District Local Plan.
As these two policies were ‘saved’, they will remain in force until they are replaced by new policies in new development plan documents as these are adopted as part of the Local Development Framework.
Updates
Since the adoption of the Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance document, we have commissioned a Strategic Market Housing Assessment and an Economic Viability of Affordable Housing Provision Study as part of the Evidence Base for the emerging Core Strategy Development Plan Document.
Following approval of these studies in 2007 and 2008 respectively, we published an Information Bulletin in December 2008 to explain our policy guidance in light of their findings and of a number of changes to national planning guidance. This bulletin should be read in conjunction with the Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance document.
